Just back from CRA’s 5th Probablistic Safety Analysis and Human Factors Assessment Forum.
It was nice to catch up with old faces and hear what people are up to these days.
Lots of interesting discussions around the use of numerical data to substanstiate PSA and the Safety Case.
The general, consensus was that quantitative human reliability data should be underpinned by rigorous task analysis or context of use investigation. Delegates recognised the value of well though through knowledge elicitation interview.
It was reassuring to hear that the qualitative evidence underlying a HEP is valued by the ONR.
